My RC Drag Race Timers page provides a handful of timers for 1/10 scale RC cars running on a 132-foot track. Available designs are of various complexity including one that can drive a full-scale light (Christmas) tree and having all the track sensors a typical full scale 1/4-mile system would have. Just Published - Single Course timing system having wireless start-line and finish-line units that communicate with the main timer unit. The race management software includes features to add/subtract penalties while the race is in progress or after the race is complete. The timer design uses the Espressif™ ESP8266 WEMOS D1 Mini wireless module w/ external antenna. Start and Finish line units can placed up to 150 feet from the main timer unit.
